I love this author and he has never disappointed me in any of his books. This time out Beck gets involved in two terrorist planned attacks. He has his beautiful wife, ex -CIA, Gunner, Bull and FBI Agent to help along the way plus several interesting characters. The book moves along and I read it in one day. The only negative I saw was Bull was not in the story enough!! I have a crush on his character :)I can't wait for the next book and if you like spies and funny characters with a little clean sex thrown in READ THIS BOOK.

refreshing to find an author who doesn't need to use four letter words to emphasize his points. And leaves the marital scenes private.
I've only read a few of Betcher's books but I've enjoyed them tremendously. He weaves a tight plot bringing in humor and a colorful cast of characters. Looking forward to the next.
I have found a new hero! The main character Beck is smart, fun and gets the job done. Beck reminds me of Mac in the McRyan series by Roger Stelljes. So if you are a fan of either, try the other. You won't be disappointed.
The author, John Betcher, has a great sense of humor which he imparts to the main characters in this story. I probably had a smile on my face throughout the reading of this book The plot turned out a little different that I anticipated but nevertheless was an enjoyable story throughout.
Liked the humor in the writing while dealing with a very creditable Issue at least in my humble opinion. Being a senior citizen I really hate to say the world is not the same as the one I grew up in. I worry greatly for my grand children. Good book will read another by this author I like the style a great deal.
One of his most fun books. I really enjoyed it. The author kept me guessing without confusion or re-reading. Being very familiar with the locales, I could picture exactly what he described. It bothers me when authors claim a time frame in one chapter then seem to forget it later, i.e. saying someone was 2 and now it is 2 years later, but that person is still 2. Mr. Betcher's timing of events was right on.
This was a good story, different from a lot of the mysteries that are published. And there are some good characters such as Rodney Holton, a local farmer and general shyster. A couple of plots are going on which come together later on. I hesitate to say more at risk of being a spoiler. I will just say it adds twists to the story and provides a lot of humor along the way. The book was well written and the editing was good.
